Automatic Compression Moulding

Through Automatic Compression Moulding of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) components, we can offer a more economical production alternative. Our compression moulding process eliminates wasted material by moulding parts to their finished dimensions as material cost savings can be especially important when high volume production is required. Compression moulding to finished dimensions also saves labour costs by excluding unnecessary secondary machining operations. In addition, our compression moulding methods allow us to achieve the optimum physical properties of components which are important in many critical applications.

Nexgen compression moulds virgin PTFE and a wide range of various filled (modified) PTFE blends to achieve the desired mechanical, electrical and chemical properties needed for particular applications:

Virgin PTFE imparts unique characteristics focused on chemical inertness, dielectric strength and coefficient of friction.

Blended PTFE is commonly used to modify certain material properties such as compressive strength, cold flow (deformation), high-temp strength, expansion/ contraction and abrasion resistance to name a few. Listed below are just a few possible fillers most commonly blended with PTFE resin in Automatic Compression Moulding: (see Materials for more details).
